Maeve Staunton, UConn, Fr., M
Staunton had a hand in three of UConn’s five goals in the Huskies’ 5-1 victory over Long Island. The freshman scored two penalty-kick goals, marking the first two goals of her career and the first brace of her career. She also added an assist to finish the match with a career-high five points.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Meredith Palmer, Villanova, Jr., D
Palmer played all 90 minutes for the third time this season, helping Villanova record its fifth clean sheet of the year and fourth consecutive shutout victory. She anchored a Wildcat backline that limited Penn to seven shots in Villanova’s 1-0 win.

Reiley Fitzpatrick, Georgetown, Gr., GK
Fitzpatrick prevented two one-on-one chances by No. 12 Virginia as the Hoyas kept the Cavaliers scoreless in a 0-0 draw.

Gumm scored the unassisted game-winning goal in the 86th minute of Butler’s 2-1 win over St. Thomas.

Macy Felton, Creighton, Jr., D
Felton led Creighton to a 1-0 week, anchoring the Bluejay backline in a 1-0 win over Northern Colorado. She played all 90 minutes, helping limit the Bears to just four shots on goal as the Jays recorded their fourth consecutive shutout, the program’s longest shutout streak since 2021.

Mason Hillery, DePaul, Sr., GK
Hillery recorded three saves against a Loyola Chicago team that registered 10 shots in the second half alone, helping DePaul record its third clean sheet of the season in a 0-0 draw.

Gianna Angelillo, Seton Hall, Sr., M
In Seton Hall’s 2-0 win over Saint Peter’s, Angelillo scored the game-winning goal from more than 30 yards out.

Avrie Nelsen, Villanova, So., F
Nelsen scored the game-winning goal in the 77th minute of Villanova’s 1-0 triumph over Penn. The sophomore has scored at least one goal in three consecutive games.
